Marriage is not a noun; it's a verb. It isn't something you get. It's something you do. It's the way you love your partner every day. -Ann Landers

On the LoOsE

From the time I was little I've always laughed at my dad. He has a unique sense of humor, I've mentioned before in previous posts that Andy often says to me, "That's a Grant-Joke."
On our Sunday afternoon drive up Little Cottonwood Canyon the scenery was breathtaking.

I am amazed at how big and detailed the mountains are, and how gorgeous they can be.
Heading up we ran into several deer, and a massive amount of people standing outside of their cars, taking pictures and pointing to the bushes. Being curious Andy, jumps out of the car runs down into the bushes and runs right back out. There was this little guy, he poked his head up to say hello to Andy.
Whenever someone new would stop and ask what everyone was looking at, I'd laugh and say, "Well you see, there's a moose on the loose." Leaving Andy to shake his head and mutter under his breath, "That's a Grant-joke."
He knows I'm funny, he just won't admit it sometimes! I made several people laugh that day, he just wasn't one of them.

I got the opportunity to throw one of my best friends Candice a baby shower a few weeks ago. It was so much fun! It was just a big party. She is having a little boy, due in October (which I am totally jealous because I have always wanted an October baby.) From the beginning she and I have called him baby Gus.
This is me, Candice, and Ashley
She got so many fun things. She is going to be such a good mom.
He is going to look like such a stud when he gets here.
And more cute little things.
Diaper cakes are always the best. It's amazing how quickly you go through diapers!
Candice and I didn't like each other at first. We both thought each other was stuck up and snotty, which we laugh at now because we are so much alike we get along great. We say all the time that we are so glad that we didn't let our first impressions stick. I would have missed out on a lot of hilarious times, and a really wonderful friend. I know that she would be there for me anytime, anyplace. I just can't wait for her little to get here so that we can have him join in on all our fun! Love you Candice xoxo

One of our favorite things about summer is going up to our cabin. A few weeks ago we went up there just our little family and it was such a blast!
Logan and Oakley are best friends! It's so cute!
Logan loves sitting on the 4-wheelers and making loud driving sounds. He calls it a truck.
We hiked to this little stream, the day and weather were absolutely perfect!
Logan loved chasing all the beautiful butterflies. I've never seen so many butterflies all in one place before, it was amazing.
Taking a little rest.
Family photo. We rarely do things just the three of us. We usually go with friends or other family members, so it was strangely refreshing to just be up there alone. I was a little worried that Andy would get bored, but he did great. We were actually a sad to have to come home.
There is no greater joy, than to hear the laughter of your child.
We are so blessed to have one another.

Lately Logan has been absolutely in love with animals and the sounds that they make. He has mastered the dog, cat, cow, alligator, lion, bear, camel, fish, owl, dinosaur, and several others.
Here he is "QUACK-ing" like a duck.

"SNAPP-ing" like an alligator.
It is so amazing how eager to learn things this little boy is, and how much he remembers from day to day. We sure love this guy and everytime he makes us laugh. Love you!

We have tried our best to squeeze every ounce of fun out of this summer. It's been crazy having to work, and still finding time to play. But I can say with a smile that I feel like we have succeeded! Logan's ride of choice these days is in the laundry basket, with one of dad's belts. This belt acts as a handle for mom to drag him around the house.
We recently went to Gateway, to meet up with my childhood friend Nina and her two girls. Logan was in heaven with two girls wanting all of his attention.
Morgan was such a big help, chasing him around, and getting out all of his wiggles.
What a lucky guy, a cute girl on each arm.
Water, water, everywhere, they all got pretty wet!
As much fun as summer has been, I am so ready for fall and winter to begin!
