The most wonderful time of the year!

Well this is it! The week of Christmas has finally come, and we couldn't be more excited!!!!

Over the weekend we had some special guests come to our family

Christmas party.

SANTA!!!!!!! and Mrs. Claus of course!

They come visit every year during the Tingey Christmas party. Andy's grandpa passed away a few years ago, and we are so happy that Grandma Norma (Andy's step-grandma?) Still has these parties. Here she is below with her cute new beau David from South Africa. He is one of the most fascinating people I've ever met. When Santa arrived the first thing they did was hand out "Magical" Christmas hats and headbands. Ash and her cute little bug Sam.

Logan was not such a happy elf at this party however. His attitude was more on the Ebenezer side. A little grumpy that is.
Travis and Andy got into the spirit of things!

He was a good boy though for as tired as he was. Even the after all the Christmas songs we sang, didn't cheer him up. HUM BUG!

Freeeeeezing Fun

We had a busy fun filled weekend. We are kicking off the season to great start. Friday we went to the festival of trees, then to the Jazz game. It was Logan's first game and he had a great time. Clapping and roaring...It was fun to watch him.

Sunday we ate at the Welch's, listened to the Prophet's Christmas message then headed down to Temple square to see the lights...and freeze our buns off. We bundled Logan up tight. He looks like the Marshmallow Man! I know in 10 years this will be one picture that he will ask me, "WHY?!?!?!" And I will say, "Because I love you!"

Logan had the best end of the stick on this one. He was so snug, he kept roaring and laughing the whole time.

Bo was a great help in keeping Logan entertained. He loves his cousins so much!

Monday morning we woke up and are ready for another week.

ANNOUNCEMENT: 8 more days till Trent and Laura are in town!

We are so excited! for those of you who don't know them: Trent is Andy's brother that is away at dental school. And we miss them like CRAZY!!!! We can't wait for them to get here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not that I'm counting or anything....

9 Months!

9 Months OLD!?!?!?!

Excuse me while I freak out! I woke up yesterday and realized that Logan was 9 months old, and then thought...these 9 months went WAY faster than the 9 long months that I was pregnant with him. WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?!?!?

He is still such an amazing kid, who is crawling and ALL over the place. I blame Andy. He can't sit still for 2 seconds just like his daddy! But I love them both for it.

Logan enjoys eating...all the time. Even through the funny faces of new food, he always comes back for more.

Logan also LOVES to sleep with one leg up on his bumpers and turned completely sideways. Some nights I will sneak in and put him straight and tuck his blanket in snug around him, but by morning he is sprawled out again.

Logan also LOVES to play inside his toy bucket. Andy will put him in and then drag him all over the room. It's hysterical to hear his high pitched laugh.
This one is my favorite...

Logan LOVES to do blow fishes on every window in sight. No matter how many times I wash them, if he can reach them there's little mouth marks all over. I think it's cute!

Logan LOVES to crawl EVERYWHERE!!! He is mobile, and loves his freedom. Little man we love you, and love you, and love you!

A bit of advice

I just read this on my friends blog and tried it out myself, I was suprised and a little scared.

Have you ever typed your name into google? Well, I just did it, and my name came up... not under my own blog, but under YOURS! If you want to make your blog a little safer, but aren't ready to go private yet, go to 'settings' then click on 'basic'.
A few questions down it will ask: 'Let search engines find your blog?'
Select NO! If you select 'yes', google will be able to find your name if someone types it in the search engine!

With all the creeps out there in the world today it seems that a person can not be too careful.

8 Months!

8 months old already...wow where does the time go?

My little guy is growing up so fast it is so bitter sweet...

Here's a little bit about what he has been up to:

LOVES holding things in his hand, all the time! Even when he goes to sleep, he must be gripping onto something.

Logan also LOVES to move around. Very rarely will he sit still, he is wanting to crawl so badly but can't seem to get the forward motion down just yet. Backwards though, he's a champ, and I will usually find him backed up into a corner somewhere, or under the couch stuck and kicking. It's really funny!
Logan also LOVES to play with Oakley. He will laugh and giggle at Oakley just sitting there. He throws things and shakes things in front of Oakley's face to get him going, then he laughs when Oakley runs around trying to get whatever is being waved in his face. It's hilarious!

And well we all knew this day would come being Andy's son. Logan LOVES to pull himself up onto things mostly the couch or pillows, again he hardly ever sits still!!! But it's so fun watching him explore new things and see how excited he gets over the simple things in life. It brings everything back into perspective.

We love you so much, you are the light of our lives and I can't wait until I get to stay home with you and we can play and get into trouble all day!

Alright

My life may not be ideal or even the best that there ever was. In fact often times the grass does look greener on the other side, but I know that if I were to walk in someone else's shoes I would be surprised. And people who walk in my shoes would probably throw them right back in my face. It doesn't really matter though because I will be the first to admit that we don't have much. At least as far as things go, we don't have a lot of money, or even things that some say make life more fun, or easier. But it's alright because I have everything that I need, and for that I am grateful, and am loving every minute of it.

I'm so lucky to have these two amazing guys who love me, and make my life worth living.

We have healthy bodies, and a happy, healthy baby.

(No we don't usually give him Mt. Dew...just when he's good J/K) We have fun and laugh through everything that we do.

We are close to our families, both sides. We have lots of love and are surrounded with support, what more could there be?

We have a beautiful life together, and I wouldn't change it for all the money in the world!

Pumpkin Patch

Over the weekend my mom, sister, Logan and I went to a little pumpkin patch by my parents house. It was so cute, I just wish that we had gone a little sooner because the hay and corn stalks were a little on the soggy side...but our spirits were not!

'FALL'-ing for you

Dear Fall:

Oh how much do I love you? I wish that you could stay around longer than you do. I've never understood why you always leave just as our friendship begins. I love your bright colors, and the crisp, cool air. I love that you make me wear sweaters and cozy jeans. I love when you make my nose cold, and when I have to finally wear socks! Fall, please stay around a while just for me, just this one time...please?!?!?!?!!!

Jam-a-lamma

Our annual 'Jam-session' was held this last weekend. It's been a fun little tradition that my mom and I started a few years ago, and for the last two we've gotten to share it with Rachel. It's always in September, and it's always a FUN time.

First you get the berries and you mash them, you mash them.

Then you mix them in and you stir them, you stir them.

And I didn't do much to help this year, I was having too much fun playing with the boys.

But we poured it, sealed it, and....

LOTS of yummy Raspberry and Strawberry jam!
