Marriage is not a noun; it's a verb. It isn't something you get. It's something you do. It's the way you love your partner every day. -Ann Landers

SnOw BuDdY

Logan got his first snow suit! So we decided that we better put it to use.
We ventured outside to give it a try...
It was like pulling teeth to squeeze a smile out of him.
He did not really enjoy our time outside. The moment he got in the snow he asked to go back inside. Being the cool mom that I am, I made him at least walk in it before taking him back in. He was not thrilled with the idea.
So we walked from the front yard to the backyard.
20 minutes of getting ready to play in the snow...just to spend a whole whopping 5 minutes out in it.
I keep telling myself that he will get the hang of it. So we will keep trying.
But doesn't he look adorable? I just want to squeeze him!

We were all prepared to be snowed in when the 'Blizzard" hit. We had some yummy soup for dinner, and a Gingerbread house to decorate for fun. Logan thought the idea of putting candy on a house instead of in his mouth was HILARIOUS!
Ready to be put to work.
Making sure the candy stayed stuck in the frosting. He is going to be a perfectionist like his dad. Every candy had to be place just so, in the right spot.
Looking good!!!
What a fun time we had!
I didn't take a picture of the final project, DUH!. I will and post it so you can see our masterpiece!

AnImAl JaMs

Logan's favorite thing (next to his trains of course) are what he calls his: "Animal Jams"
I have to hide these from him to get them washed.
Oh how I love this guy!

This Thanksgiving was not like any we have had before. Logan came down with a fever Tuesday and it stayed until Friday night. So Thanksgiving for us was a little sad, but we made it work. Andy stayed home with Logan while I went to my parents for dinner.
It was so fun to have Jac home, and my dad's parents come over. It was sad though and strange not to have my brother and his little family there with us. Their absense was truly felt.
The food was sooo yummy, and cooked to perfection!
My Grandpa and Grandma Stuker who I have so enjoyed getting to know better this past year. I love them so much!
It was nice to be home a lot, we had much time to reflect on all of the things that we are so grateful for. And be thankful for how blessed our lives truly are.
We are so thankful for:
Our healthy bodies
The gospel
Our wonderful families who we couldn't make it through a day without.
Our marriage in the temple
Our home and the food that we have to eat
Our jobs that we have been able to keep through this difficult economic time
Our little family and the important role that each of us plays.

Go JaZz Go!

Last weekend we had the chance to go to the Jazz game. Oh my goodness what a blast!
We went with our good friends, Brig and Amy Harman.

Brig and Amy

Even the legendary Mark Eaton was there!
He's the big guy in the blue.
Half Time!!!
My cousin Chris, Mickinzi, and Scarlett were there too!!!
And they have a new mini-Jazz Bear. He was hysterical!
The debate all night: was it a kid in there or a little person???
My vote was for little person.
One of our failed attempts at getting on the jumbo tron
After a few over times the Jazz finally pulled off the W with a 2 point game.
Awesome time!!! Thanks Brig and Amy it was so much fun.
Thanks Mom and Dad for watching Logan, we couldn't have done this without you!
Love you xoxo!

All ArOuNd

I love the fall, there is just something about the crispness in the air, the crunch leaves on the ground, the craving for cider and hot chocolate, that makes me smile. And so does this handsome goof ball!
It's been really fun this year to get to experience these things with my favorite people. Last year Logan was too young to really know what was going on...
But this year he is eating it up!

How do you not love the multi-colored leaves, and crisp air that turns cheeks rosy...
No, not those kind of cheeks.
See what we have to put up with... Hahaha!
Logan loves looking up at the trees waiting for more leaves to flutter to the ground.
Mostly so he can pick it up and put it in his dump truck.
Say Cheese...
Whirling and twirling in the leaves. Or as Logan likes to call it: Spin!

HeLpEr

I have a little helper, a helper yes I say.
He loves to cook and stir stuff, every single day!
He has a little ladder, that is his helper seat,
He climbs up very carefully, he thinks it pretty neat!
Yes, I have a little helper, but he's a little messy too,
My little helper Logan, I'm sure would love to come help you!!!
Every time Logan sees me in the kitchen he runs over and pulls on his "ladder" and says,
"Mom-hep me!" It's so cute! He LOVES to be right in the middle of all the action.
The beaters are his favorite thing, and dumping in all sorts of different ingredients. He does a very good job! Even though we make a little mess sometimes, nothing is too messy to clean up!
Love this boy!

L is FoR...

L is for: Logan...
Need I say more? Logan is such a sweet, loving little angel. He makes us smile everyday.
L is for: Learning, he is my little explorer.
So fascinated with everything, he loves trying new things, and figuring things out. Everything is so new and exciting!
L is for: Loving he loves his cousins, and his grandparents.
Always calling and asking for them, not a day goes by where he doesn't asked for Z or JoJo at least a dozen times.
L is for: Laughter there is no better joy than to hear your
kids laughing. He is going to be little prankster I just know it. He sticks his tongue out in almost every picture. This morning as we were saying our family prayers, Logan leaned over to Andy and started honking his nose. And not just once, but several times to where we could no longer hold in our laughter and all of us busted out laughing/crying.
Hopefully that prayer will still count.
Logan you are the best, you are our life, you are our happiness!
We love you to the moon and back.

WeLcH hALlOwEeN

The annual Welch Halloween party has come and gone. Every year it gets more fun, and the costumes get better and better! Thank you Travis and Tenille for letting us have this at your house. We had, as always, a hilarious time!
Wolverine and Storm stopped by...
Fred and Wilma Flintstone were there.
Mario and Luigi popped in.
Jake Welch and Gold Metalist Torah Bright came for a good time.
Shrek and Princess Fiona left the swamp for a while.
The Bride of Frankenstein crawled on over.
Wolverine and Hulk were seen
Officer Naught followed her escaped convict there.
Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson thought this was some other kind of party... I think they made a wrong turn and ended up here.
The Nightmare Before Christmas, truly was just that.
The cutest little Cheetah wandered in the front door. I wanted to take her home with
me for a pet...
Snow White was able to leave the Seven Dwarfs and sing her way over.
I already can't wait till next year!

TrIcK-or-TrEaT

It was such a bitter-sweet feeling this Halloween. We took Logan Trick-or-Treating for the first time. Part of me was so excited while the other part of me cried inside. I just couldn't help but think, "I can't believe my little baby is old enough to do this." He was SO dang cute! And yes I am working on calling him my little boy now and not my baby even though I HATE it! Treating with Dad. He liked to take turns with us going up to each house. After one house he would run over and hold the other person's hand, he is good about not leaving either of us out.
Mom's turn, next house let's get going.
The pumpkin flashlight:
When I was little my grandparents would come up every year for Halloween and go with us. They bought me a pumpkin flashlight that I LOVED!!! I took it with me every year that I can remember. So when I found this pumpkin flashlight I had to get it for Logan to carry on the tradition. Even though it means more to me right now than him, one day he will appreciate it!
From house to house he would scream, "Ick-TREAT!!!" At the top of his lungs, but when we got to the door he would stand there silently and hold out his hand. It was hilarious. Then as we were leaving he would scream, "Anch YOU!" (That's Thank you in Logan-eez) Followed by a very loud, "BYYYEEEE!!!!" So funny!!!!
It was freezing, but he didn't want to stop. I think his favorite part was ringing all the different door bells. "Ing-ong" (ding-dong). He'd say at every door.
What a special experience this was with him. Absolutely one that we will remember forever!!!
