Saturday I usually 'try' to get up early enough to do some house cleaning without taking up too much time out of the day. Since any of you who know Andy, know that Saturday's are every bit as sacred as Sunday's. You can't clean, or do ANYTHING that you NEED to do. You can only do FUN things on Saturday's. Well, I'm frantically cleaning the house to get it done so that the rest of the day can be spent doing FUN things. Oakley gets every bit as impatient as Andy does when it comes to doing fun things. He simply doesn't like to wait, so the more I make him wait, the more trouble he gets into. As I'm throwing in loads of laundry, vaccuming, and dusting I realized that Oakley isn't right by my feet, following my every step. I call him and silence, I whistle, still nothing...he's into to something. So as I go through the house checking each room looking for him holding my breath as to what mess I'm going to have to clean up, I get into our bedroom and see him standing on top of our dresser.
As I enter the room shocked and confused as to how in the world he got up there, he gives me his sad puppy dog face that says, "I did nothing." So my anger turns into laughter and I start laughing at him because he's stuck up there, afraid to jump down. So as I'm laughing he sits down and lets out this little whimper.
After taking pictures I picked him up and set him down. The like normal he began running around the house like a maniac. He's so funny!

Obsession
So I have to blame this obsession on my sister-in-laws...it was last year we all went for my mother-in-laws birthday to get pedicures. While we were all sitting there when someone brought up the "Twilight" book series. I had heard several people talk about this before, but never with as much passion as this conversation held. Intrigued I sat in silence and listened...and listened some more...

LIttle League
So this was the cutest thing I'd seen in a long time! My cousin, Kanyon, just started his first year of Little League Baseball. Andy and I were lucky enough to get invited to his last baseball game. Kanyon is a riot, he truly is a 20 year old in a 5 year old body. Before the game starts he says to me, "Yeah we got our butts whooped at our last game, we really have to win this one. I just hope that everyone plays better." That was before I knew...
They don't keep score, or outs, or balls, or strikes. Everyone on the team swings until they hit, and after everyone has hit the next team is up. Oh and let's not forget the kids that 'slide' into home, most of them come up just short of the base. They get up with a pained look on their faces as they mouth "ouch" rubbing the side of their leg, then they hobble slowly back to the dugout. They play this way for about an hour.
You have the kids who are picking grass, or their noses, and the kids that are waving at their parents with wide smiled on their faces. These kids do not take baseball seriously...
Then there are those that do...
Kanyon for example, he puts on the over sized helmet and picks up his bat, tapping the bottom of his shoes. Turns around and says, "It's go time." And he heads up to the plate...smacks his bat down on the base. Then he hits (farther than anyone else I must say) runs his short little legs to first. With his over sized helmet head down the whole way, because it makes you run faster.
After he rounds all the bases he slides...........into home (yes he was just short of the base too.) Stands up with a huge smile and dusts off his pants, walking over to his bag hanging on the fence. Talking to himself, "Whoa that was close one, we really needed that run." Nodding he pulls a Gatorade out of his bag hanging on the fence and takes a huge swig. Turns around to us and with a red Gatorade mustache and says, "I really hope we can pull this off. We really need this win!"
I was laughing so hard, it was so cute! Great job Kanyon, you're an All-Star!!!!

Memorial Weekend
We had the chance to go down to St. George for Memorial weekend to cousin Shane's homecoming. We had a blast down there!
Andy and Jake thought that they would play a fun game, one person would get the tennis ball and count the three, while the other person ran. When the 'counter' got to three he hurls the tennis ball at the other person with deadly force. Andy only counted to one before throwing the ball at Jake...so Jake threw the ball back at Andy, and slapped him on the back....BOYS?!?!?!
The weather was great down there! It was beautiful!
We went to Lava caves, that was really cool. It's this big volcano this picture is taken from inside looking out. It was a great time! Good to see the family and just relax. Love you all!
